演講摘要:

High entropy material (HEM) has attracted significant attentions due to its groundbreaking concept and unique characteristics useful in diverse fields. The beauty of HEM lies in the unique tailorable properties with respect to the huge chemical composition space. The use of nearly infinite composition combinations allows the development novel materials for various energy conversion and storage applications. Here, various types of HEMs, including high entropy perovskite oxide, high entropy glycerate, high entropy sulfide, and high entropy hydroxide, based on the same five consecutive first-row transition metals, have been designed and synthesized as electrocatalysts toward oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The excellent OER activity of these HEM electrocatalysts is demonstrated and discussed. For energy storage applications, high entropy spinel oxides are demonstrated to be promising anode materials in Li ion battery.
