吡啶基Fe(II)/Co(II)自旋交叉化合物的合成與表徵Synthesis and Characterization of pyridine-based Fe(II)/Co(II) spin crossover compounds

演講摘要:

Materials with spin transition characters often attract much attention because of their potential applications to build switches, sensors, cantilever and so on. Among them, spin-crossover (SCO) compounds represent a class of switchable coordination complexes which can change their electronic configurations between low spin (LS) and high spin (HS) states by different stimuli temperature, light, pressure, intense magnetic field and electric field. In this talk, structure determination from powder x-ray diffraction (SDPD) method will be introduced and be used to determine a series of novel pyridine or pyridine-tetrazolate based Co(II)/Fe(II) SCO compounds. Then, the temperature or pressure induced spin transition behaviors were characterized by PXRD and x-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). For example, one-dimensional coordination polymer of {[FeII(2BTP)2(4,4’-bpy)](ClO4)2}n exhibits spin transition temperature T1/2 around 350K and the average Fe-N distances are 2.0436(4) Å and 2.2042(5) Å at room temperature (LS ; t2g6) and at 400K (HS ; t2g4eg2), respectively. The study of pressure-induced spin transition on [CoII(bpy)3](NO3)2·3H2O indicates that this complex exhibits HS (t2g5eg2) at ambient condition and changes to LS (t2g6eg1) beyond 1.73 GPa, and the average Co-N lengths from HS to LS are 2.127(7) Å and 1.950(4) Å, respectively.
